The Build

The complete structure of your business, designed and then built — and handed to you finished.

Built once, built properly, and then it is yours.

A$5,500 – 7,500 fixed Eight weeks Handover, then done

The friction

You already know it has to change. You are never going to find the time.

You can see the shape of what the business needs. You have probably described it to someone. What you cannot find is the fortnight of clear air it would take to build it, because the business consumes every hour you try to protect.

So the work that would eventually free you up is precisely the work that never gets done. The website stays three years old. The enquiries keep arriving in four places. The thing you would automate stays manual, because setting it up would cost you a week you do not have.

Hiring it out has its own weight. Five contractors, five briefs, five sets of decisions coming back to you, and nobody holding the whole shape. That is a second job, not a solution.

The whole structure, constructed.

The Build is the same design as The Blueprint, carried through to a finished structure. The design is done first, exactly as it would be on its own, and then everything in it is made.

The Blueprint contains every decision.

The Build contains every asset.

One person designs it, one person builds it, and one person is accountable for whether the whole thing holds together. There is no brief to write and no handoff between trades where the intent gets lost.

If you have already bought a Blueprint, it is absorbed as stage one and never charged to you twice.

for you

If this is where you are

  • You know the business needs restructuring, and you have no intention of doing it yourself
  • You want one person accountable for the whole structure rather than five contractors and a project to manage
  • You want the technology installed and working, not explained to you in a training session
  • You want it finished — not maintained, not iterated, not reviewed quarterly
  • You can make decisions inside a defined window when they are put in front of you
not this

This isn't for you if

  • You would rather build it yourself, or have someone in your team build it — that is The Blueprint
  • You want to commission individual pieces as you go; the Build is designed and quoted whole
  • You want someone to keep running it for you afterwards
  • Decisions in your business take months, or need several people to agree before anything moves

The shape of it

Five stages, all of them.

Every engagement is different inside, because every business is. The sequence never changes.

01
The Blueprint

Intake

One conversation, plus access to how the business actually operates — the files, the tools, the workflow as it runs rather than as it is described.

02
The Blueprint

Survey

What is actually there. What is load-bearing, what is overloaded, what is undocumented, and what people genuinely do rather than what the process says they do.

03
The Blueprint

Design

The structure, and the order it must be built in. Seven domains, every decision made and reasoned. Nothing is built until you have seen the whole design and agreed to it.

04
The Build

Build

The structure constructed, in the order the design sets. Brand, website, systems, pipelines, reporting, and the technology layer installed inside them.

05
The Build

Handover

Every account in your name, and documentation written well enough that nobody needs to call me. Then the engagement is finished.

Not a list of deliverables. A structure that runs.

What the design calls for is what gets made. In most businesses that means most of the following.

What already works, stays. Every existing piece is assessed during Design and given a verdict — retain, adapt, or replace — with the reasoning written down. You will not be told to start again, and you will not be charged to rebuild something that was already holding.

How it is held

Three things are fixed before anything begins.

Most build work is quoted loosely and settles up later. This does the opposite, and all three are agreed at Design, before a single thing is made.

Fixed scope

Decided at Design and written down. Not negotiated while the work is underway.

Fixed price

Quoted before construction starts, and unchanged by how long it takes me.

Fixed window

Eight weeks from intake to handover, with the one condition below.

The one condition. Eight weeks assumes materials, access and decisions arrive within five business days of being asked for. Where they do not, the finish date moves by the same margin. Nothing else changes — not the scope, not the price.

The practicalities

Wherever the business is.

I am based in Brisbane. Across South East Queensland we can work in person or remotely, whichever serves the work. Everywhere else in Australia the work runs remotely, and it runs just as deep.

I take a small number of Builds at a time, deliberately. A half-finished structure held alongside four others is how this work goes wrong, and avoiding that is the point of running the practice this way.

Investment

Quoted whole, before anything is made.

The Build
A$5,500 – 7,500
Fixed. Your figure is set at the end of Design, once the real scope is known — and it does not move after that.
Duration
Eight weeks, intake to handover
Blueprint credit
Already bought a Blueprint? The full A$2,400 comes off, provided the Build begins within six weeks of its handover
Quoted whole
The Build is designed and priced as one structure. Pieces are not commissioned separately — a part-built structure is the one that fails
Ownership
Every account, domain and asset in your name from the day it is created
After handover
Nothing. No retainer, no monthly fee, no support package
Begin your Build

If the design comes back smaller than a Build — because you are keeping more than expected, or because less needs rebuilding than it first appeared — I will tell you plainly and point you to The Blueprint instead. Selling you a structure you do not need serves neither of us.

The engagement ends, and that is the whole point.

Most of this industry builds you something and then sells you the dependency on it. Monthly management. A support package. A retainer that quietly becomes permanent because nobody wrote anything down.

There is no version of that here. Every account is in your name. Every process is documented for whoever runs it next. If you find yourself needing to call me, the documentation was not good enough — and that is my standard to meet, not something you should be paying for every month.

You should leave this able to run the business without me. If you cannot, I have not finished.

yours

The business stops running on you.

The enquiries arrive where they should. The follow-ups happen without you remembering them. The repeatable work is carried by the structure, and the decisions that actually need you are the only ones that reach you.

Nothing is held together by you personally any more, which means it holds when you are not there.

✦   ✦   ✦
when you're ready

One conversation is enough to know whether this is the work your business needs.

Bring the business as it actually runs. The conversation is intake, not a pitch — we use it to understand the shape of what you have, and to work out whether a Build or a Blueprint is the right starting point.
